After being high school player of the year in the Southwest Conference in Detroit, Michigan, Darius took his basketball talents to Mott Community College located in Flint, Michigan. There he was a key contributor to back to back national championships. His freshmen year he didn't play as much but during his second, he averaged 10ppg 4ast and was offered a scholarship to Ashland University. Ashland is a Division 2 school located in Ashland, Ohio in the GLIAC conference and at the time it was considered to be one of the top Divisoin 2 conferences in the country. At Ashland, Darius was a two year starter and helped turn a struggling program around in such short time. In his senior season, he led the conference in assist to turnover ratio, made the all defensive team and made all conference second team. While at Ashland, Darius also played football. Post Ashland, Darius played semi-pro for the Motor City Falcons.

Leroy McMath
Founder
McMath started the WBA in 2004, which restructured in 2015, resumed in 2018, and postponed play due to covid restrictions. Over the years, the WBA has created opportunities for young men to play professionally across the globe, including numerous players in the NBA/systems.

Slaton is an Ed.S. graduate of the American College of Education and former team owner of the Macon Blaze. Slaton has served as a Director at Herzing University and the Pacific Institute of Technology.

Micheal "Stinger" Glenn is an American former professional basketball player drafted #23 by the Chicago Bulls. Glenn was selected to the All-Century team at Southern Illinois University and was also inducted into the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame.

Lionel Garrett is a former NBA draft pick contracted by the San Diego Clippers. Garrett has been an International Player, Coach, Harlem Globetrotter Star and has over 25 years of NCAA, CBA, WBA, ABA, and FIBA coaching experience.
