The WBA will host Tryouts for the upcoming WBA season in Spring 2025. We are seeking talented, competitive players aiming to play basketball against some of the best developmental prospects worldwide.

  • Leroy McMath

    Founder

    McMath started the WBA in 2004, which restructured in 2015, resumed in 2018, and postponed play due to covid restrictions. Over the years, the WBA has created opportunities for young men to play professionally across the globe, including numerous players in the NBA/systems. "The Sky is the Limit"...
  • William Slaton

    Chief Financial Officer

    Slaton is an Ed.S. graduate of the American College of Education and former team owner of the Macon Blaze. Slaton has served as a Director at Herzing University and the Pacific Institute of Technology.
  • Mike "Stinger" Glenn

    Commissioner

    Micheal "Stinger" Glenn is an American former professional basketball player drafted #23 by the Chicago Bulls. Glenn was selected to the All-Century team at Southern Illinois University and was also inducted into the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame.
  • Lionel Garrett

    Basketball Operations/Player Development

    Lionel Garrett is a former NBA draft pick contracted by the San Diego Clippers. Garrett has been an International Player, Coach, Harlem Globetrotter Star and has over 25 years of NCAA, CBA, WBA, ABA, and FIBA coaching experience.
