After being drafted 36th overall in the 2003 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls, Austin left to play overseas, starting his professional career with CSKA Moscow, but was released after an injury before playing an official game. Afterwards he signed with the Jackson Rage of the WBA where he spent the remainder of the season.

in with Mario Austin of the Jackson Rage getting the top selection as the Player of the Year and Litterial
Green of the Southern Crescent Lightning being named the Coach of the Year. The all-star voting was
done by the head coaches and owners of each WBA franchise. Also selected was the All – WBA Team,
along with Defensive and Rookie players of the year.
The Jackson Rage opened its inaugural season with an 87-86 victory over the Kentucky Reach Friday night at Elizabethtown, Ky. Former Mississippi State star and Russian refugee Mario Austin scored 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Rage.

Leroy McMath
Founder
McMath started the WBA in 2004, which restructured in 2015, resumed in 2018, and postponed play due to covid restrictions. Over the years, the WBA has created opportunities for young men to play professionally across the globe, including numerous players in the NBA/systems.

Slaton is an Ed.S. graduate of the American College of Education and former team owner of the Macon Blaze. Slaton has served as a Director at Herzing University and the Pacific Institute of Technology.

Micheal "Stinger" Glenn is an American former professional basketball player drafted #23 by the Chicago Bulls. Glenn was selected to the All-Century team at Southern Illinois University and was also inducted into the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame.
